Part 1: Pangkor Laut Resort

15th October 2009 marks two years since our wedding day. To celebrate our 2nd anniversary, we decided to go away for a holiday in Pangkor Laut Resort (PLR). This trip was planned way before bub was conceived; in fact, it was supposed to be a baby-making escapade for us but bub didn’t want to miss out the vacation and decided to come along instead.

After sending off Odee to the next-door neighbour, we started our three-hour journey to Lumut Jetty. Then, we took another 25-minute ride by PLR’s private boat to the Resort.

We were greeted by Mee Yee, the guest relations officer who quickly orientated us with the surroundings. Feeling hungry, we had lunch at Royal Bay Beach Club before checking into our Hill Villa.

We loved our Villa! Located on a hilltop, the view was breathtaking and the room was amazingly spacious and cosy, except for the bed which was a little too fluffy for us.

Themed “One Island, One Resort”, PLR is indeed a luxuriously private retreat. After freshening up, we explored the place.

You’ll never go hungry in this island because before we knew it, it’s time for dinner again. We had a three-course dinner at Feast Village before going back to our villa, watching “Up!” on our laptop and calling it a day.
