Our future home – part #1

It’s official – we will be moving to Dubai soon! Hubby is already there, having started work in his new company almost two weeks ago and in the meantime, trying his best to set up our new home with necessities before we arrive. When and how soon we will be reunited depends on when his resident visa is approved. We are looking at a waiting time of two to three weeks, sooner if we’re lucky. Keeping our fingers and toes crossed real hard. We miss him already!

After staying in his temporary accommodation for a while, Hubby will be moving to our permanent apartment – a three-bedroom apartment allocated by his company – this weekend. Yippee! We will be living in the Al-Barsha area, which is very near the Dubai Internet City. According to Hubby, the area is almost like where we are living in PJ – strategic location with easy access to various facilities:

Hubby has been busy scouting for furniture and purchasing necessities as well as appliances to complete our new home. Our theme this time around revolves around being minimalist with lots of space! We are planning to keep things really simple and nice.

Thank goodness for technology, we managed to do some shopping together via Whatsapp. So far, we have bought an oven cooker, fridge, mattresses and curtain together! We will be going on a “date” to IKEA this weekend where we will be shopping for sofa, TV cabinet and perhaps some toys storage for the playroom which is going to be my pet project there šŸ™‚

I can’t wait to put a personal touch to the apartment and make it a home sweet home. Soon, soon!

the apartment looks nice and spacious and can spend everyday on the pool during summer! All the best to your family in Dubai.
